Native Hoosier Karen Land is a 3-time veteran of the grueling 1,150-mile Alaskan Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.  Accompanied by her sled dog Noggin, she now travels to schools and libraries across the country speaking to audiences sharing her experiences of racing across Alaska.  In addition to being a writer, public speaker, and wilderness advocate, Karen runs an active blog about life with “a string of dogs!”

This event is open to all ages!  Due to limited seating, please sign up starting Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10 AM online or with a library staff member (781-665-2313).

This program is generously sponsored by The Friends of the Melrose Public Library.
